Our friendly staff enjoy introducing visitors to our region and look forward to helping you with your bookings for local activities, ensure your personal accommodation requirements are met and help plan your travel within the region and through on the Great Alpine Highway, SH73 to Arthur’s Pass and the west coast.

The famous Tranz Alpine Train arrives at Springfield Railway Station 9:10 am from Christchurch and onto Greymouth daily, returning at 5:15 pm. Book your train journey with us and leave your car or campervan safely here at the station for your day or overnight excursion. 

Springfield Railway Station also houses the Station73 Cafe - famous for it's Tranz Alpine Muffins - baked daily for the Tranz Alpine Train Cafes. Sit and enjoy the fresh baking, gourmet pies and a great coffee with magnificent views of the Torlesse Range!

Our retail area boasts local quality handcrafts, NZ made gifts, books, postcards, stamps etc.
